Eleanor - 1960 America, romantic love between two young widows living in a small town. Eleanor Arly and Cathy Richards live together on a small farm a few miles from town, still at times struggle with a very obvious romantic affection between them, though they're content with life as it is. The town, however, and two policemen in particular, still consider the death of Cathy's husband, a village policeman, to have been suspicious, particularly in light of various “rumors” about two young widows living a by and large secluded existence on their
farm.

Ur - Set in antiquity, the Biblical ‘Ur' of the Chaldees, a reluctant king coping with the amorous attention of wives, concubines, daughters, temple mistresses, etc. etc.. Areshen of Isin (loosely based on the historical Ishbi-Erra of Isin) would rather maintain the facade that he is nothing more than the lowly and insignificant military governor of a provincial city in the north of Sumer. It gradually becomes apparent to all, however, that the king of Ur has become little more than a figurehead, Areshen of Isin, as much he might regret it, wielding the actual power. Finally recognized as “a god” himself, Areshen must then contend with the multitudinous pantheon of Sumerian deities and their entrenched priesthood for which he feels very little respect. “The patron gods of my childhood farm,” he explains to his subordinates, “were nothing but a constant nuisance - feed them morning and night and hope they stay off your back.”

Julia Ellen - A future world which is Victorian England, the Rome of antiquity, maybe a couple of others thrown in, every manner of romantic
involvement. Juli Anne Priscella, “a second heiress” to a provincial throne in the north of “the English Isles,” has been dismissed from “court,” must make her way down the length of the English Isles to London Town where she seeks refuge in civilization's preeminent imperial court. Once arrived in London Town, Juli Anne encounters a court which according to her historical research seems to be a mix of the prudish Victorian and the debauched Roman and American imperial eras of “antiquity.” A genteel and refined court at the center of civilization encounters a young Lady and a voluptuously proportioned amazon from “the backwood, half civilized north of the English Isles” who appears as though she's passed her life standing about a campfire in antiquity's forests with spear in hand.

The Norecomb Women - A future world, Camelot and the old west, a bit "Mad Maxish.” Jack, called Earp by some - he's collected a dozen or so names in his travels across the wilds of “the North,” - wanders onto Norecomb Farm, its “queen” Julia presiding over a community of a hundred souls struggling for survival in the midst of a hostile wilderness. A flyer, and part time gunman, by trade, both occupations are viewed as a necessity though with scorn by the community.
On Norecomb Farm, Jack must now cope with the amorous attention of the Norecomb Women, queen Julia, her daughter, and her granddaughter.

Candaltown - Tom Aulry works as a flyer and part time gun truck driver for the Candaltown guard, Candaltown the largest mechanized community on “the east coast of the northern of the western continents.” Called to the community's Residence, he is introduced to Carolyn Corey, a middle aged though very pretty woman who looks like a store clerk, probably, Tom decides, carries nothing more than a tiny, single shot pistol. Tom is then informed by the town guard's boss that Miss Corey flew airplanes for her aunt. “But those planes were tiny little singles, boss, a few pounds of freight. Candaltown's planes are heavily armed twins, fifty calibre guns, bomb struts, can demolish another town in a single pass. Miss Corey wouldn't have a clue -” though the boss as usual giving no indication that he understands anything about airplanes. Tom, as usual,
gives up on the boss, turns to his very pretty store clerk wondering if he can
teach her how to fly a heavily armed twin capable of demolishing another town
in a single pass. |

Lorance - a future empire, a Caesar with
gun trucks and airplanes. Similar to The NorecombWomen though not a sequel. Jonn Lonry, command captain general of the Lorance guard, would far rather have remained in the commonwealth's northern forests fighting brigands and wandering tribesmen making a nuisance of themselves. The commonwealth's social and political establishment, however, has decided to reign in a commonwealth guard viewed as insubordinate by dismissing Lonry as its commander. Lonry, as usual, debates matters of social and political consequence for as long as a moment or two prior to crossing his Rubicon. |
JENN - A future world which is a mix of Victorian England and the Old American West, a close, sometimes struggling affection between a father and daughter. Loosely a sequel to The Norecomb Women. Jenn Anne Anry has wandered with her family up and down the “forested wilds” of the east coast in search of a home, her father sometimes an intoxicated nuisance but always her adoring protector. A machinist by trade, Henri Anry has several times proven himself quite as skilled with the use of firearms in his family's defense. “It was when you was a girl, sweet Jenn,” Henri explains. “We was down on our luck so - I hired out - six months up and down the Ohio, a year or so cross the Pennsylvanias. I were – proficient.”
Settled finally onto Soutell Farm, Jenn becomes a handmaid to the farm's “titled Lady”and mistress, Jenn Anne for most of her life “a transient girl” now forced to cope with life as it's lived in the noble confines of a Residence.

Marjorie - a woman from the suburbs,
June Cleaver in temperament, takes a wrong turn from the interstate, finds herself alone and helpless to violence in an inner city slum - a mother and son coping with romantic feelings for each other (Banned in Britain, actually, banned pretty much everywhere by everyone (I think it's Lady J. Worthington Farnsworth (I know for a fact she and his worship take the occasional dip) a constant pain in my butt). Although as usual I draw or advocate no conclusions, Marjorie is a frankdiscussion of a fact of life which is seldom discussed – one of those really contentious issues similar to the ongoing debate regarding the curvature of the earth and like issues (more about Lady J. and his worship in the forward).

Doreen - A novella from Novellas and Poems - A younger man and an older woman defying 1950 small town societal strictures. Jack Collins dutifully presents himself to the Spenton mansion

A meaningless piece of nonsense in italics which no one's gonna read but every site has to have at least one or two meaningless pieces of nonsense at the bottom just to annoy the reader and make the site appear real official like.
You are now leaving this site and entering the land of Weebly. Check it out, it's quite entertaining, actually. All ya do is drag things around and ya got a site up and running in a few minutes.
